Location: The theater is centrally located in the heart of Santa Barbara’s cultural district, surrounded by the city’s finest restaurants. Parking is generally plentiful and the back of the theater adjoins City lot # 5 on Chapala Street. The entrance to the theater is on Victoria Street at the southeast corner of Chapala.
Seating: Victoria Hall Theater was newly reconfigured in 2003 as a fully functioning theater with a maximum of seating for 290 patrons. With orchestra seating for 170 and a balcony capacity of 120 on stadium risers, excellent sightlines are guaranteed from virtually every seat. Center orchestra seating is upholstered with individual armrests on two-foot wide aisles, insuring the most comfortable audience experience in town.
Features: Other improvements include a complete professional lighting and sound system, separate remodeled dressing rooms for up to 18 performers, soundproofing and updated air conditioning. The seating configuration is flexible. Chairs can be removed from the orchestra pit and a downstage runway installed for graduations and other special events.
Stage: The proscenium stage is 31 feet deep and 32 feet wide at the foot. Red velvet house curtains precede two sets of upstage blacks for scene changes and upstage crosses. Ninety lighting instruments are focused and run by computerized control board from the booth. A customized sound system and PA with interference proof ironclad cable are built in and technical direction is available in-house from VHT staff.
Lobby and Box Office: Four main doors on Victoria Street and wheelchair access on the immediate East side of the building open to a spacious lobby. Our fully operational box office has a telephone line, room for four attendants and ticketing service is available on a contract basis.

Patio: Adjoining the lobby, our restored Moorish patio with fountain is available for receptions and catered events for up to ninety people. We have a complete food prep area with refrigeration on the premises.
Rehearsal Room: Our 45’ by 30’ “Meeting Room” is available for discussion groups, rehearsals or green room on an ‘as available’ basis.
